Terms of Service
Effective September 27, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Electrides LLC ("Electrides", "we", "us"), a Florida company in Naples, Florida. They cover our website electrides.netlify.app, our mobile apps and our ride service (together, the "Service"). By booking a ride, signing up to drive, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use Electrides
- You must be at least 18 to book a ride on your own. Riders under 18 must travel with a parent or guardian who books the ride.
- Give accurate information, including a phone number where your driver can reach you.
- We may refuse, pause, or block access for anyone who breaks these terms or puts others at risk.
2. Riders
Booking and prices
- You see your estimated price before you book. It is based on distance, time and vehicle type, plus a booking fee. Late-night pickups and child seats may add a listed charge. We never use surge pricing.
- If the trip changes a lot (a new stop, a different destination, or a long wait you ask for), the fare may change to match.
- Tolls, if any, are added to the fare.
Payment
- You pay at the end of the trip by card, cash, Zelle or another method shown in the app. Card payments are processed by Square.
- Tips are optional and go entirely to your driver.
Cancellations and no-shows
- You may cancel for free before your driver arrives. If your driver waits more than 5 minutes at the pickup and you don't show or answer, the driver may cancel and a fee of up to the minimum fare may apply.
Your conduct
- Treat drivers with respect. No harassment, threats, discrimination, violence, or unwanted contact after a trip.
- No illegal drugs, open alcohol, or weapons (except as allowed by law) in the vehicle. Wear a seat belt.
- You are responsible for damage you cause to the vehicle beyond normal wear, including cleaning fees for spills or sickness, up to $150.
- Give your driver your 4-digit ride code at pickup, and only get in the car that matches the driver, car and plate in the app.
3. Drivers
Membership
- Independent drivers pay a monthly membership (currently $50 a month). Fleet companies with 3 or more vehicles pay a monthly fee per vehicle (currently $40). Prices may change with 30 days' notice.
- Membership is billed through Square each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time by contacting us; it stops at the end of the paid month. Fees already paid are not refunded.
- Drivers keep 100% of the fares they collect. Riders pay the booking fee to Electrides.
- If a membership payment is more than the grace period late, your account pauses until it is paid.
Independent business
- Drivers are independent contractors, not employees of Electrides. You choose when and whether to drive and which rides to accept. You are responsible for your own vehicle, fuel, maintenance, taxes, and any business licenses.
- Fleet companies are responsible for their own drivers and must make sure each one meets these terms.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license, vehicle registration, a vehicle safety inspection, and insurance that meets Florida requirements for transportation network or for-hire use (see Florida Statutes §627.748).
- Passing a background and driving-record check before driving and at renewal.
- Keeping documents current. Your account pauses automatically when a document expires until you send the renewed one.
- Following the driver safety code shown in the app: only riders booked through Electrides, no street pickups, zero tolerance for alcohol, drugs and weapons, obeying traffic laws, verifying the rider's ride code, and resting after 12 hours of driving.
Deactivation
We may pause or end a driver's access for safety reasons, serious or repeated rider complaints, expired documents, unpaid membership, fraud, or breaking these terms. Where it is safe to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
4. Safety features
- The app shares trip location during rides, lets riders and drivers share their trip, runs ride checks, and has emergency buttons that call 911 and alert Electrides.
- These tools help, but they are not a replacement for emergency services. In an emergency, always call 911.
- We may share trip details with police or emergency services when we believe someone's safety is at risk.
5. Lost items
Report lost items through the app's Safety tools or by calling us. We will put you in touch with your driver. Electrides is not responsible for items left in vehicles.
6. Our role and limits
- We work hard to keep the Service available and safe, but we provide it "as is" and cannot promise it will always be available, error-free, or that a driver will always be available.
- To the fullest extent allowed by Florida law, Electrides is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Electrides in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
- You agree to cover Electrides for claims caused by your breaking these terms or the law.
7. Disputes
Please contact us first; most problems can be solved quickly. If we can't resolve it, these terms are governed by Florida law, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Collier County, Florida, except that either party may bring a claim in small claims court.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above and, for important changes, show a notice in the app. Using the Service after a change means you accept the new terms.
